Sun and Moon
This quilt is in three tiers. The lower tier shows Lucy Lloyd with //Kabbo, capturing the ancient mythology of the /Xam in 1873, so that it could be told in books and “travel on the wind” to future generations when the /Xam culture had vanished from the earth. They are flanked by people of the early race, who are said to have been so close to nature that they were half human, half animal. The middle tier shows the origin of death, and the top tier, the creation of the sun.
